This Love

This love will keep us going. Through it all. The heartbreak, the aging, the pain of life - this love is what drives the engine we call the conscious experiment - us, humans - must run on it or we die.

This love holds legions, all the things we think we cannnot.

This love has a pact with our bodies, with our hearts, can take it all in and make it beautiful - make life bearable, and estatic.

This love has a way of breaking us down to a more simple and honest creature - finds ways to crack us, and let the light in.

This love is cunning and wise - knows timing like the back of her hand. Lends us her hand when we are on our knees again, undone by what we cannot understand, by what we are only now surrendering to.

This love calls us towards one another and towards the whole, the One-ness we hear about in the mystics, the Cabala, the Sufi way - The beloved.

This love does not need explanations, for she is the essentiality of everything - everything we need and long for, she finds a way of giving us - just not in the way we thought it would be.
